This piece explores social housing issues in London. Initial images were taken from the Heygate Estate in Elephant and Castle, in which over 1,200 flats were emptied for the regeneration project with the promise of only 79 units in the new development. The patterned image is a reflection of the continuous pattern of people losing their homes for urban regeneration projects in the city. I deconstructed the photographs of the desolate site just as the residents lives were deconstructed. From them created this kaleidoscopic screen-printed image.
